Quality

Due to the parallel arrangement of its fibers, linen is a strong and sturdy fabric. Unlike many natural fibers, it is also very durable, and the more you use and wash it, the softer it becomes. Linen is produced in an ecological way, it uses around twenty times less energy than production fo other fibers. Flax grows easily in a natural way, therefore it is completely hypoallergenic. It can absorb up to 20% of its weight in moisture before it feels damp, so kept in the room it keeps an appropriate level of humidity and freshness in the air. Flax remains colorfast and launders beautifully. It has the additional advantage to be non-allergenic. Flax requires considerably fewer pesticides and fertilizers than other crops. The fibers are recyclable and eventually biodegrade. Lithuanian linen is known for its exceptional quality and strenght. Products made of pure linen are to be used for many years.

Linen Care

For it's quality and unique characteristics, linen is a perfect material for both fashion and practical design. Linen is available in different qualities varying from almost silk-like to sack-linen. Linen can be washed in a washing machine coloured linen at 40 degrees, and non-coloured at 60. Bleaching is not recommended whilst it hurts the fabric and teh colour may fad out. Linen fabric may shrink slightly after the first wash. Iron while lien is still damp, as it makes ironing easier. Don`t tumble dry.
